Karly Randolph Pitman is in love with the human heart. With a dream of creating a world of compassion and belonging – where we’re free to give and receive love – she’s leading a movement to befriend our tender, imperfect humanity with greater gentleness and care.
Karly’s an author, speaker and teacher who helps men and women heal the emotional roots of eating disorders and addiction through self kindness. She calls this path growing human(kind)nessTM – for it is through kindness, not punishment, that we heal, grow, adapt and change. Growing human(kind)nessTM is a relational, gentle “inside out” approach to healing.
While love heals, many people struggle in the “how.” Karly’s work is a map for creating this loving, tender, secure relationship with every part of yourself – with your emotions, needs, thoughts, feelings, body and even your addiction itself. This inner work changes how you relate to yourself, how you think about yourself, how you talk to yourself, and how you care for yourself. The result? The ability to respond differently.
“The greatest thing in the world is to know how to belong to yourself.” – Montaigne
Karly synthesized the six practices of growing human(kind)nessTM to foster her own healing from over 20 years of eating disorders and life long challenges with depression and anxiety. Healer, speaker, author, teacher, on-film expert, Karly is the contemporary voice of compassion.
